Stroke Prevention
An Ischemic stroke is the more common type of stroke. This type of stroke is usually caused from clogged arteries,
When fat and cholesterol collect on the wall of the arteries it forms plaque. The plaque builds up and prevents blood from
flowing properly. This process forms a clot, which blocks blood from reaching the brain causing an Ischemic stroke.
A hemorrhagic stroke is bleeding in the brain. This type of stroke occurs when small blood vessels in the brain burst. The blood flow
from the burst vessel damages brain cells.
